The PA Grants Program exists to support teachers and staff at CCHS in their efforts to enrich and broaden the educational experience of all CCHS students. We typically spend about one third of the annual PA budget funding grants that are:

• student-focused,

• meaningful, substantial, or rewarding for the student experience,

• consistent with CCHS goals,

• fiscally responsible, and

• unable to be funded via another source.

Grants are an opportunity for teachers to try something new, branch out, experiment, or expand a successful concept. The PA hopes to fund as many different teachers, departments, and new ideas as possible.

  • African American History (new class '23-'24) library

  • 3D printer for engineering/science department

  • SMARTS Executive Functioning Curriculum for SPED

  • Sliding miter saw for engineering & robotics programs

  • Equipment for Reverb/The Live Music Club

  • Drone for aerial photography and video in the art department & senior class aerial photos

  • Partners In Rhyme virtual poetry program in English classes

  • Kami editing software purchased by the IT department to give written feedback to students during virtual learning. 74 teachers - almost half of the faculty - are using the software. 

  • Classroom reading libraries & board games for Spanish classrooms

  • Pottery wheels for the Arts program

  • A moving “Mindfulness Area” for all students

  • Guest speakers and cultural presentations during World Language Week

  • Access to the documentary “If They Had Only Known” for the Health & Wellness department to use in their Life Skills curriculum

  • Living history presentation for Latin and Roman History students

  • 2018 CCHS TedX conference

  • Monthly check-in breakfasts for the METCO program

  • Clawbot kits for Robotics classes

  • “Anatomy in Clay” resources for Biology classes

  • From Here to There Fitness Exploration program for the Pathways program

  • Supplies for the school-wide Cornhole Tournament​
